Special Update: Workshop Invitation

Invitation to Investment Workshop Wednesday, March 25 in Keowee Key Palmetto Room

Dear Clients, Professionals, and Other Friends,

You are cordially invited to a lunch workshop in the Keowee Key Palmetto Room on Wednesday, March 24, 2009 beginning at 12:00 p.m.  The focus of the workshop will be the historical context of the current market environment and the performance of Margin of Safety managers during and after market crashes.  We will also address why your friends should be very wary of moving accounts with brokers who are changing firms.  Of investors with advisors, about 90% of them do not have a fiduciary, instead they have a relationship with a broker who sells them products and services.  In this environment, brokers are under a lot of pressure to sell products to their clients -these products may not be in the best interest of your friend or neighbor.  Please invite any of your friends and neighbors who you believe could benefit from learning more about this.

In the attachment, Jeremy Grantham of GMO estimates stocks will return 10-13% per year over the next seven years, and that, while they may go down before they go back up, this is not time to sit on the sidelines.  Specifically, he shows that in 1933, long before banks had failed or unemployment had peaked, the S&P 500 rallied 105% in 6 months and that in 1974 it rallied 148% in 5 months in the United Kingdom.  We are unable to predict the future, but stand wholeheartedly behind our managers.

Please RSVP to admin@globalviewinv.com  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there.
