[Global View News & Commentary](https://blog.globalviewinv.com/tag/global-view-news-commentary) Sep 11th, 2017 By: [Erin Milner](https://blog.globalviewinv.com/author/erin-sweatt) Your personal information could have been exposed  this summer during an Equifax data breach.  Equifax is one of the three main credit reporting agencies. Take precautions moving forward to protect yourself and your credit report. It is worth monitoring your credit report over the next month to make sure nothing odd appears. The Federal Trade Commisson has provided a handy article explaining the facts and actions to take moving forward: "Here are the facts, according to Equifax. The breach lasted from mid-May through July. The hackers accessed people’s names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and, in some instances, driver’s license numbers.
